Sustainability at SICORE
We are committed to conducting our business in a sustainable manner, day in and day out. For instance, we avoid unnecessary travel, separate our waste, save electricity and purchase electricity from renewable sources. What’s more, our office is almost fully paperless. With assistance from our ESG & Corporate Services team, we continuously refine our ESG Strategy, which applies in equal measure to us as a company and to our investments.
Our contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals
In pursuit of the vision set out in our ESG Strategy, we have committed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Our activities relate to several SDGs in particular, from “affordable and clean energy” and “decent work and economic growth” to “sustainable cities and communities” to “climate action”.
Our industry engagement
We play an active role in numerous sustainability initiatives and associations, striving to shape the issue of sustainability in the real estate and financial services industry and bring about structural changes.
As a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI), we have committed to integrating ESG principles into our investment and management practice. We are a member of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and leverage its expertise to support the long-term decarbonization of our real estate portfolio. In addition, we support sustainability initiatives launched by the German Investment Funds Association (BVI) and the German Property Federation (ZIA).
