We’re conscious of our responsibility. As a leading real asset and investment manager, we take account of clear ESG criteria when making investments and driving the gradual decarbonization of our portfolio. To us, “Impact” and “Do No Significant Harm” criteria are more than just regulatory requirements: they have a material influence on our investment management.
Investments in Article 9 funds
Walking the talk: SICORE is currently managing two “dark-green” Article 9 funds in its portfolio. The HANSA German Social Fund invests exclusively in property with a socially sustainable objective. The HANSA German Logistic Impact Fund is the first German impact fund for new-build logistics projects.
Promoting and developing renewable energy
We’re actively driving the energy transition in Europe. As an infrastructure investor and operator, we’re part of the change – with a growing portfolio that includes onshore wind farms and photovoltaic installations across Europe.
A climate-neutral portfolio by 2040
We recognize the real estate industry’s immense influence on CO₂ emissions. With this in mind, 35% of our real estate portfolio has already been certified as climate-neutral. We aim to make our portfolio fully climate-neutral by 2040.
A symbol of the future: Witznitz Energy Park
Witznitz Energy Park is one of the largest such facilities of its kind in Europe. Built on the site of a former lignite mine, it serves as an example of successful regional transformation, including extensive renaturing, the retention of existing jobs and the creation of new jobs.
